Hey Liz – My Irish father served in the British Army throughout WW2 for nearly eight years in the Irish Guards & numbers ! & 2 Commandos. – All over Europe and North Africa incudung being sunk into Arctic seas off of the Lofoten Islands Norway.- About 1955 he showed me a ‘Room to Let’ card in the Kilburn High Road. ROOM TO LET – NO BLACKS, IRISH, OR DOGS.
